Thinking about relocating to Romeoville from Houston

Curious what people think. Just moved here 15 months ago and The median home value here is around $245,200, which is actually reasonable. Homes are going for about $245,200 on average. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Does this match your experience? There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The weather takes some getting used to. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The weather takes some getting used to. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Internet is tough in most areas.
