How is the nightlife in Ronkonkoma?

Random thought, Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Night life is decent if you know the right spots.

Public transit is challenging here. You'll probably need a car for most things. I'm still on the fence after all this time.

Came here for retirement and stayed because it's exactly what I was looking for. The safety is honestly average and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

We moved here with our family and it's improved dramatically in recent years. Schools in Sunset area are underrated. Kids love it here.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, I genuinely enjoy living here. Hope this helps!.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want outdoor recreation, then yeah this place is great. But if walkability matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 6 years ago from Baltimore and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in Fairview. It's underrated for what you get.

Jobs: The market is developing right now, especially in real estate. If you're in consulting you might struggle.

People: Generally surprisingly good. It took about 18 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: decent. Tons of options if you like Indian.

Definitely worth checking out..
