Random thought, We have two kids and It's a a small town city with about 18,368 people. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Thoughts? The food scene here is surprisingly good. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The food scene here is surprisingly good. I've been living here for 7 years and I'd say it's improved dramatically in recent years. The weather is excellent compared to other places I've lived. Overall Definitely worth checking out..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 4 years ago from Dallas and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: The market is competitive but not impossible. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in The Heights. It's decent for what you get.
Jobs: The market is developing right now, especially in hospitality. If you're in retail you might struggle.
People: Generally decent. It took about 16 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: surprisingly good. Tons of options if you like seafood.
Hope this helps!.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want healthcare, then yeah this place is great. But if walkability matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 14 years ago from Tampa and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in Maple Ridge. It's pretty good for what you get.
Jobs: The market is stable right now, especially in legal. If you're in retail you might struggle.
People: Generally improving. It took about 18 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: decent. Tons of options if you like sushi.
No regrets on my end..

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 3-bedroom. it's not perfect but it works for me. Compared to Pittsburgh it's improving.
