Random thought, I'm a remote worker and Crime rate is something to consider -Roosevelt sits at 417.3 per 100K. You can expect to pay around $902 for rent here. Household incomes average around $72,664 in Roosevelt. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The city has invested a lot in new development. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Thoughts? There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.

Used to live on the Old Town side, now on the Midtown side. Completely different vibe. I love the pace of life here.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. I genuinely enjoy living here. Internet is challenging in most areas.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 4 years ago from New York and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: Older homes are where the value is. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in West. It's improving for what you get.
Jobs: The market is competitive right now, especially in finance. If you're in education you might struggle.
People: Generally decent. It took about 6 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: better than expected. Tons of options if you like farm-to-table.
Would recommend to anyone considering it..

I've been living here for 4 years and I'd say it's been a really good experience overall. The school system is tough compared to other places I've lived. Overall Hope this helps!.
