So, Median household income is $148,558, which feels pretty solid for the area. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 3 years ago from Raleigh and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Lots of new construction which should help. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in North. It's challenging for what you get.

Jobs: The market is competitive right now, especially in real estate. If you're in finance you might struggle.

People: Generally average. It took about 5 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: improving. Tons of options if you like sushi.

Definitely worth checking out..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 14 years ago from Denver and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: The market is competitive but not impossible. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in Pine Hills. It's decent for what you get.

Jobs: The market is established right now, especially in healthcare. If you're in hospitality you might struggle.

People: Generally hit or miss. It took about 18 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: excellent. Tons of options if you like Italian.

Give it a chance - it might surprise you..
