Is Rose Hills getting better or worse?

Hey folks, I relocated for work and It's a a small town city with about 2,485 people. Average temperature is around 66--F, so the weather is moderate. The city has invested a lot in new development. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want outdoor recreation, then yeah this place is great. But if healthcare matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

I've lived in Springfield for about 4 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. When I first moved here from Nashville, I was surprised by job market. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Decent public transit for the size
- Active local events and festivals
- The traffic scene is underrated

The downsides:
- Road conditions need improvement
- Limited entertainment options

Overall I'd rate it 9/10 for couples. Happy to answer more specific questions..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 9 years ago from San Diego and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Lots of new construction which should help. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in Lakewood. It's surprisingly good for what you get.

Jobs: The market is developing right now, especially in tech. If you're in manufacturing you might struggle.

People: Generally hit or miss. It took about 7 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: underrated. Tons of options if you like Indian.

No regrets on my end..

As someone who grew up here, there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. A lot has changed in the past few years though. job market used to be much reasonable but now it's tough.
