Hi all, Been living here since 2014. It's a a small town city with about 4,400 people. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Should I be concerned? The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly.

As someone who grew up here, I genuinely enjoy living here. A lot has changed in the past few years though. food scene used to be much growing but now it's pretty good.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem average.
I've been here 4 years and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The thing nobody mentions is healthcare. It's competitive and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the food scene is legit. And if you're into camping, this place is solid.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Eastside side vs the Westside side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

I've lived in South for about 9 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
it exceeded my expectations. When I first moved here from Seattle, I was surprised by healthcare. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Lots of new development happening
- The walkability scene is hit or miss
The downsides:
- Summers can be brutally hot
- Limited entertainment options
Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for couples. Hope this helps!.
