Roseburg vs Dallas -which is better?

Hi all, My partner and I are Median household income is $52,928, which feels on the lower side for the area. The unemployment rate is 2.7%, which is pretty low. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The suburbs are where most families end up. The food scene here is surprisingly good.

Moved here from Dallas about 11 years ago. I have mixed feelings honestly. Still getting used to cost of living but No regrets on my end..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 14 years ago from LA and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Older homes are where the value is. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in North. It's challenging for what you get.

Jobs: The market is reasonable right now, especially in legal. If you're in consulting you might struggle.

People: Generally average. It took about 14 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: average. Tons of options if you like Mediterranean.

Good luck with whatever you decide..
