Living in Rosedale -the reality

So, Military spouse here. Poverty rate is 2.8%, which is pretty low. Rent is about $1,240/month for a decent place. Crime rate is something to consider -Rosedale sits at 266.9 per 100K. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Anyone in a similar situation? The city has invested a lot in new development. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Property taxes are high but you get good services.

As someone who grew up here, it was the best decision I ever made. A lot has changed in the past few years though. community vibe used to be much affordable but now it's average.

My experience has been mostly positive. I have mixed feelings honestly. The only thing I'd watch out for is food scene. Other than that, Hope this helps!.
