Thinking about relocating to Roseland from Minneapolis

Been meaning to ask this. Household incomes average around $160,644 in Roseland. Rent is about $3,293/month for a decent place. Median household income is $160,644, which feels pretty solid for the area. Crime rate is something to consider -Roseland sits at 34.3 per 100K. The food scene here is surprisingly good. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly.

We moved here with our family and I have mixed feelings honestly. Schools in Springfield area are hit or miss. Kids love it here.

Used to live on the West side, now on the Westside side. Completely different vibe. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value healthcare, you'll love it. The food scene is genuinely tough and I've found it exceeded my expectations. My neighborhood (Downtown) is competitive and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from New York, be prepared for the culture shock. housing market is completely different here. And Not very walkable outside downtown.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

I've lived in Springfield for about 1 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

the quality of life is solid. When I first moved here from Denver, I was surprised by pet-friendliness. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- The job market scene is average

The downsides:
- Urban sprawl is real
- Homeless population growing downtown

Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for families. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

I've lived in East for about 7 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it was the best decision I ever made. When I first moved here from Chicago, I was surprised by dating scene. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Active local events and festivals
- The healthcare scene is surprisingly good

The downsides:
- Limited high-paying job options
- Bugs and humidity in summer

Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for young professionals. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 2 years ago from New York and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Highland. It's hit or miss for what you get.

Jobs: The market is competitive right now, especially in retail. If you're in retail you might struggle.

People: Generally better than expected. It took about 13 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: underrated. Tons of options if you like Korean.

Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is safety. I genuinely enjoy living here. Worth doing your research before committing.
