Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a chef who relocated here from Phoenix about 2 years ago. The main reasons were quality of life and family.

Pros I've experienced:
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- Good airport with direct flights
- Strong sense of community

Cons that are real:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Urban sprawl is real

Financially, we've found it improving compared to where we came from. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. Groceries are wild, gas is solid.

Socially, there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Good luck with whatever you decide..

I've been living here for 2 years and I'd say it exceeded my expectations. The safety is pretty good compared to other places I've lived. Overall Definitely worth checking out..
