Honest thoughts on life in Rosemead
Hey everyone, I'm originally from Austin and With a population of 50,340, Rosemead is a smaller city. Homes are going for about $729,600 on average. You can expect to pay around $1,728 for rent here. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level.
Pros:

- Low crime in most areas
- Close to nature
- Easy commute
- Active local events
Cons:
- Limited nightlife
- Chain restaurants dominate
- Homelessness issues downtown
Should I be concerned? Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much.
