Is Rosemead still affordable?
Longtime lurker here, I'm a teacher here and Poverty rate is 11.7%, which is around average. Median household income is $72,248, which feels about average for the area. Crime rate is something to consider -Rosemead sits at 321.2 per 100K. Rent is about $1,728/month for a decent place. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The city has invested a lot in new development. Thanks in advance! Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The weather takes some getting used to. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse.
