Rosemount housing prices -when will it stop?

Alright, I grew up here but left for a while. Homes are going for about $406,100 on average. The median home value here is around $406,100, which is pretty steep. It's a a smaller city city with about 26,509 people. Household incomes average around $127,247 in Rosemount. The suburbs are where most families end up. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Am I overthinking this? Any help is appreciated. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The city has invested a lot in new development. The city has invested a lot in new development. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, I have mixed feelings honestly. Would recommend to anyone considering it..

My experience has been mostly positive. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The only thing I'd watch out for is pet-friendliness. Other than that, Happy to answer more specific questions..

I've been living here for 13 years and I'd say it was the best decision I ever made. The outdoor recreation is hit or miss compared to other places I've lived. Overall No regrets on my end..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a lawyer who relocated here from Atlanta about 15 years ago. The main reasons were work and retirement.

Pros I've experienced:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Low crime in most neighborhoods

Cons that are real:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Limited public transit options

Financially, we've found it surprisingly good compared to where we came from. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. Groceries are reasonable, gas is average.

Socially, it's improved dramatically in recent years. It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 2-bedroom. I genuinely enjoy living here. Compared to Houston it's tough.

OK I'm going to write a proper review because I've seen too many incomplete answers.

Background: I'm a data analyst, 50, moved here 6 years ago from New York. I've lived in Midtown and Westside, and traveled to most parts of the metro.

**What I love:**
1. Growing food and restaurant scene
2. Good internet infrastructure
3. Active local events and festivals
4. The people are generally improving - I found my community within the first year

**What I don't love:**
1. Rising rent and home prices
2. Limited entertainment options
3. The cost of living situation is manageable and doesn't seem to be improving

**Neighborhoods I'd recommend:**
- Midtown: Great for singles. challenging vibes, walkable.
- Westside: More affordable, family-friendly.

**Neighborhoods I'd avoid:**
- Without naming names, stay away from areas east of downtown until you know the city better.

**Cost comparison:**
Coming from New York, everything felt pretty good. Rent is about /mo. Groceries are pricey. Gas is established. You can live comfortably on $40K-$120K here.

**Final verdict:**
Hope this helps!. It's not perfect - nowhere is - but for the price point and quality of life, it's hard to beat. DM me if you have specific questions.

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.

I've been in Uptown for 4 years. Moved from Seattle for retirement. Here's my honest, detailed take:

**Housing:**
The market right now is average. We bought in 2015 at k and it's now worth about the same than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 3-bed in a safe area. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts.

**Employment:**
healthcare is strong here. tech is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are affordable for the area.

**Quality of Life:**
it exceeded my expectations. The outdoor scene is decent - we have beaches within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.

**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. Uptown schools are surprisingly good. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.

**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Summers can be brutally hot. Bugs and humidity in summer. And outdoor recreation can be frustrating.

**Bottom line:**
For couples, I'd say this is a 8/10. Definitely worth checking out.. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want public transit, then yeah this place is great. But if school system matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem challenging.

I've been here 4 years and it's improved dramatically in recent years. The thing nobody mentions is traffic. It's wild and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the dating scene is legit. And if you're into biking, this place is excellent.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Uptown side vs the Springfield side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Happy to answer more specific questions..

I've lived in Cedar Grove for about 14 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. When I first moved here from Nashville, I was surprised by job market. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Lots of new development happening
- The food scene scene is solid

The downsides:
- Rising rent and home prices
- Chain restaurants dominate

Overall I'd rate it 6/10 for remote workers. Definitely worth checking out..

Hot take but it exceeded my expectations. I know a lot of people disagree but after 12 years here, that's my honest assessment.
