Nova Wood moving

Is Rosenberg worth moving to in 2026?

So, Crime rate is something to consider -Rosenberg sits at 380.1 per 100K. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Thoughts? Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a electrician who relocated here from Seattle about 3 years ago. The main reasons were a job opportunity and family.

Pros I've experienced:
- Four distinct seasons
- Good airport with direct flights
- Strong sense of community

Cons that are real:
- Winters are long and cold
- Not very walkable outside downtown

Financially, we've found it challenging compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are affordable, gas is excellent.

Socially, the quality of life is solid. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

The food scene here is challenging. Tons of great sushi places. it's exactly what I was looking for.
