First time home buyer in Roslyn Heights

Curious what people think. I work in legal and Crime rate is something to consider -Roslyn Heights sits at 26.2 per 100K. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Would love some local perspective. Any help is appreciated. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus.
