Roslyn Heights quality of life -am I missing something?

First post here. Household incomes average around $186,696 in Roslyn Heights. Median household income is $186,696, which feels pretty solid for the area. Crime rate is something to consider -Roslyn Heights sits at 26.2 per 100K. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The weather takes some getting used to. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years.

Pros:
- Good schools
- Diverse community
- Walkable downtown
- Plenty of shopping options
- Active local events

Cons:
- Traffic can be terrible
- Cold winters
- Sprawl everywhere
- Lack of diversity
- Far from major airports
What neighborhoods would you suggest? It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The suburbs are where most families end up. The suburbs are where most families end up. The suburbs are where most families end up. The food scene here is surprisingly good. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. It's not perfect, but the community is solid.
