Affordable areas near Roslyn?

Curious what people think. I'm a teacher here and You can expect to pay around $1,151 for rent here. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. What are your go-to spots?

Public transit is hit or miss here. You'll probably need a car for most things. the quality of life is solid.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 3 years ago from Dallas and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in Riverside. It's excellent for what you get.

Jobs: The market is affordable right now, especially in finance. If you're in healthcare you might struggle.

People: Generally decent. It took about 7 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: solid. Tons of options if you like BBQ.

It's not for everyone but it works for us..
