Rossmoor vs Memphis -which is better?

Hey everyone, Rent is about $3,501/month for a decent place. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. What do you all think? The city has invested a lot in new development. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting.

I've been living here for 10 years and I'd say I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The cost of living is decent compared to other places I've lived. Overall Would recommend to anyone considering it..

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value school system, you'll love it. The housing market is genuinely better than expected and I've found it's not perfect but it works for me. My neighborhood (Springfield) is competitive and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Charlotte, be prepared for the culture shock. job market is completely different here. And Traffic during rush hour is rough.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

I've lived in Eastside for about 1 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I have mixed feelings honestly. When I first moved here from Seattle, I was surprised by school system. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Good healthcare facilities
- Close to major attractions
- The nightlife scene is better than expected

The downsides:
- Nightlife is limited
- Limited high-paying job options

Overall I'd rate it 9/10 for retirees. Hope this helps!.

I've lived in Lakewood for about 12 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it's improved dramatically in recent years. When I first moved here from Raleigh, I was surprised by nightlife. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- The safety scene is average

The downsides:
- Road conditions need improvement
- Bugs and humidity in summer

Overall I'd rate it 6/10 for couples. Happy to answer more specific questions..
