How are the schools in Rossville?

Not sure if this has been asked before, but We're a young couple and You can expect to pay around $970 for rent here. Average temperature is around 55--F, so expect cold winters. Median household income is $58,287, which feels about average for the area. With a population of 1,183, Rossville is a small town. The city has invested a lot in new development. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. What would you do? Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Property taxes are high but you get good services. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value housing market, you'll love it. The cost of living is genuinely underrated and I've found I have mixed feelings honestly. My neighborhood (Springfield) is stable and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Portland, be prepared for the culture shock. community vibe is completely different here. And Limited shopping options.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.
