Hey folks, I've been here for 16 years and You can expect to pay around $1,707 for rent here. The city has invested a lot in new development. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 15 years ago from Raleigh and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in North. It's challenging for what you get.
Jobs: The market is established right now, especially in consulting. If you're in legal you might struggle.
People: Generally average. It took about 7 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: pretty good. Tons of options if you like seafood.
Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
