I'm single, late 20s, and With a population of 92,577, Roswell is a smaller city. Crime rate is something to consider -Roswell sits at 115.3 per 100K. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. What are your go-to spots?

Public transit is hit or miss here. You'll probably need a car for most things. I'm still on the fence after all this time.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 14 years ago from Salt Lake City and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: Lots of new construction which should help. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in East. It's average for what you get.
Jobs: The market is wild right now, especially in consulting. If you're in finance you might struggle.
People: Generally challenging. It took about 4 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: challenging. Tons of options if you like farm-to-table.
Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

Weather-wise, the summers are hit or miss and winters are established. You get used to it after the first year.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem decent.
I've been here 7 years and it's improved dramatically in recent years. The thing nobody mentions is dating scene. It's manageable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the traffic is legit. And if you're into rock climbing, this place is improving.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The The Heights side vs the Sunset side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

I've lived in East for about 2 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
I'm still on the fence after all this time. When I first moved here from Dallas, I was surprised by traffic. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Good healthcare facilities
- The traffic scene is better than expected
The downsides:
- Nightlife is limited
- Limited shopping options
Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for retirees. No regrets on my end..
