Healthcare options in Rotterdam?

Hey folks, Poverty rate is 2.9%, which is pretty low. The food scene here is surprisingly good. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. What are your go-to spots? The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a HR manager who relocated here from Minneapolis about 2 years ago. The main reasons were retirement and retirement.

Pros I've experienced:
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- Good airport with direct flights
- Lots of family-friendly activities

Cons that are real:
- Chain restaurants dominate
- Far from beaches/mountains

Financially, we've found it underrated compared to where we came from. Older homes are where the value is. Groceries are manageable, gas is solid.

Socially, it's improved dramatically in recent years. No regrets on my end..

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.

I've been in Eastside for 2 years. Moved from Dallas for weather. Here's my honest, detailed take:

**Housing:**
The market right now is excellent. We bought in 2021 at k and it's now worth up a bit than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 3-bed in a safe area. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable.

**Employment:**
government is strong here. government is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are developing for the area.

**Quality of Life:**
it's improved dramatically in recent years. The outdoor scene is hit or miss - we have desert landscapes within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.

**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. Eastside schools are hit or miss. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.

**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Urban sprawl is real. Not very walkable outside downtown. And walkability can be frustrating.

**Bottom line:**
For families, I'd say this is a 7/10. Feel free to reach out with questions.. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.
