Rowland Heights housing prices -when will it stop?
First post here. Born and raised here. The unemployment rate is 4.2%, which is about average. The median home value here is around $812,900, which is pretty steep. You can expect to pay around $1,929 for rent here. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Is this normal for Rowland Heights? The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The weather takes some getting used to.

I've been living here for 2 years and I'd say it's been a really good experience overall. The cultural scene is decent compared to other places I've lived. Overall Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.
If you value traffic, you'll love it. The dating scene is genuinely tough and I've found there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. My neighborhood (Cedar Grove) is wild and I feel safe walking around at night.
But if you're coming from Boston, be prepared for the culture shock. walkability is completely different here. And Limited public transit options.
My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

I'm a teacher and I've found the quality of life is solid. The community is excellent and there's always something going on.
