I'm originally from Las Vegas and The median home value here is around $342,400, which seems about average. With a population of 64,139, Rowlett is a smaller city. Homes are going for about $342,400 on average. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The suburbs are where most families end up. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Anyone in a similar situation? Thanks! Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The city has invested a lot in new development. It's not perfect, but the community is solid.
