Dog-friendly places in Rowlett?

I'm originally from Miami and The median home value here is around $342,400, which seems about average. Crime rate is something to consider -Rowlett sits at 128.3 per 100K. You can expect to pay around $1,964 for rent here. The unemployment rate is 2.7%, which is pretty low. Household incomes average around $113,600 in Rowlett. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Let me know your thoughts. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 3 years ago from Raleigh and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: The market is competitive but not impossible. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in South. It's excellent for what you get.

Jobs: The market is competitive right now, especially in healthcare. If you're in finance you might struggle.

People: Generally hit or miss. It took about 6 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: tough. Tons of options if you like Southern.

Hope this helps!.

My experience has been mostly positive. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The only thing I'd watch out for is job market. Other than that, Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, it was the best decision I ever made. Feel free to reach out with questions..
