Anyone else feel this way? I'm single, late 20s, and Homes are going for about $342,400 on average. Crime rate is something to consider -Rowlett sits at 128.3 per 100K. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Am I overthinking this? Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The food scene here is surprisingly good.

I'm a accountant who relocated here from Phoenix about 1 years ago. The main reasons were weather and cost of living.
Pros I've experienced:
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Active local events and festivals
- Diverse dining options
Cons that are real:
- Limited high-paying job options
- Limited shopping options
Financially, we've found it better than expected compared to where we came from. Older homes are where the value is. Groceries are developing, gas is surprisingly good.

Financially, we've found it surprisingly good compared to where we came from. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. Groceries are pricey, gas is better than expected.
