Anyone work in healthcare in Roxborough Park?

Alright, I've been here for 8 years and The unemployment rate is 2.6%, which is pretty low. Crime rate is something to consider -Roxborough Park sits at 89.2 per 100K. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Anyone in a similar situation? People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The city has invested a lot in new development. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The suburbs are where most families end up. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value pet-friendliness, you'll love it. The walkability is genuinely solid and I've found it's been a really good experience overall. My neighborhood (Cedar Grove) is pricey and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Houston, be prepared for the culture shock. community vibe is completely different here. And Traffic during rush hour is rough.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.
