Alright, I'm originally from Sacramento and Poverty rate is 2.2%, which is pretty low. The weather takes some getting used to. Would love some local perspective. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting.

We moved here with our family and I genuinely enjoy living here. Schools in Meadowbrook area are hit or miss. Kids love it here.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a nurse who relocated here from Miami about 7 years ago. The main reasons were quality of life and family.
Pros I've experienced:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Decent public transit for the size
- Lots of new development happening
Cons that are real:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Bugs and humidity in summer
Financially, we've found it excellent compared to where we came from. Older homes are where the value is. Groceries are growing, gas is challenging.
Socially, the quality of life is solid. Good luck with whatever you decide..

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are average, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Internet is better than expected in most areas.
