Just moved to Running Springs, any tips?

Longtime lurker here, I'm a teacher here and The unemployment rate is 3.3%, which is pretty low. Poverty rate is 10.8%, which is around average. Homes are going for about $373,300 on average. You can expect to pay around $1,725 for rent here. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. What do you all think? Any help is appreciated. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The food scene here is surprisingly good. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. it's improved dramatically in recent years. Internet is challenging in most areas.

I've been living here for 3 years and I'd say it exceeded my expectations. The weather is decent compared to other places I've lived. Overall Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 4-bedroom. it's been a really good experience overall. Compared to Chicago it's average.
