First post here. I'm a remote worker and Homes are going for about $156,000 on average. With a population of 7,244, Russellville is a small town. Rent is about $711/month for a decent place. You can expect to pay around $711 for rent here. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The city has invested a lot in new development. The weather takes some getting used to. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want public transit, then yeah this place is great. But if job market matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a writer who relocated here from Atlanta about 3 years ago. The main reasons were work and a fresh start.
Pros I've experienced:
- Good schools in most areas
- Lots of new development happening
- Four distinct seasons
Cons that are real:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Limited high-paying job options
Financially, we've found it excellent compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are wild, gas is solid.
Socially, it's not perfect but it works for me. Hope this helps!.

I've lived in Uptown for about 2 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
it's not perfect but it works for me. When I first moved here from New York, I was surprised by safety. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- The healthcare scene is pretty good
The downsides:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Not a lot of cultural diversity
Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for retirees. Happy to answer more specific questions..
