Is Saco still affordable?

Hi all, Crime rate is something to consider -Saco sits at 105.5 per 100K. It's a a small town city with about 20,636 people. With a population of 20,636, Saco is a small town. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.

Pros:
- Low crime in most areas
- Diverse community
- Low taxes

Cons:
- Hot summers
- Not very walkable
- Limited dining options
- Lack of diversity
- Far from major airports
Worth the trade-offs? Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The suburbs are where most families end up. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. it exceeded my expectations. Internet is surprisingly good in most areas.

My experience has been mostly positive. I genuinely enjoy living here. The only thing I'd watch out for is school system. Other than that, Happy to answer more specific questions..
