People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. What would you do? TIA! It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a accountant who relocated here from Nashville about 3 years ago. The main reasons were retirement and weather.
Pros I've experienced:
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Good schools in most areas
- Good healthcare facilities
Cons that are real:
- Rising rent and home prices
- Limited shopping options
Financially, we've found it surprisingly good compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are stable, gas is average.
