Working remotely from Saginaw

Longtime lurker here, I'm a remote worker and With a population of 43,879, Saginaw is a smaller city. Household incomes average around $37,298 in Saginaw. The suburbs are where most families end up. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Any advice would be great.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 3 years ago from Nashville and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Lots of new construction which should help. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Greenfield. It's average for what you get.

Jobs: The market is affordable right now, especially in manufacturing. If you're in education you might struggle.

People: Generally pretty good. It took about 7 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: hit or miss. Tons of options if you like seafood.

Give it a chance - it might surprise you..
