Living in Saginaw -the reality

Curious what people think. I grew up here but left for a while. Crime rate is something to consider -Saginaw sits at 184.6 per 100K. Rent is about $1,700/month for a decent place. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The suburbs are where most families end up. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The weather takes some getting used to. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Property taxes are high but you get good services. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Property taxes are high but you get good services.
