Longtime lurker here, I relocated for work and You can expect to pay around $1,763 for rent here. With a population of 35,012, Sahuarita is a smaller city. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The weather takes some getting used to. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Worth the trade-offs? Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The weather takes some getting used to.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 2 years ago from New York and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in Highland. It's tough for what you get.
Jobs: The market is stable right now, especially in government. If you're in finance you might struggle.
People: Generally underrated. It took about 4 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: better than expected. Tons of options if you like seafood.
Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

I've been living here for 7 years and I'd say there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The safety is solid compared to other places I've lived. Overall Definitely worth checking out..

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem underrated.
I've been here 3 years and I have mixed feelings honestly. The thing nobody mentions is public transit. It's reasonable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the community vibe is legit. And if you're into hiking, this place is solid.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Eastside side vs the South side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
Happy to answer more specific questions..

I've lived in Springfield for about 10 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. When I first moved here from Boston, I was surprised by community vibe. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Nice parks and green spaces
- The cultural scene scene is hit or miss
The downsides:
- Not very walkable outside downtown
- Limited high-paying job options
Overall I'd rate it 9/10 for young professionals. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..
