Housing in Sahuarita compared to Indianapolis

Alright, My partner and I are Poverty rate is 5.7%, which is pretty low. It's a a smaller city city with about 35,012 people. Median household income is $100,719, which feels pretty solid for the area. Household incomes average around $100,719 in Sahuarita. The city has invested a lot in new development. Property taxes are high but you get good services. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Am I overthinking this? Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The suburbs are where most families end up.

Used to live on the Oak Park side, now on the Uptown side. Completely different vibe. it's exactly what I was looking for.

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.

I've been in Sunset for 13 years. Moved from Raleigh for retirement. Here's my honest, detailed take:

**Housing:**
The market right now is decent. We bought in 2020 at k and it's now worth down slightly than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 3-bed in a safe area. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals.

**Employment:**
government is strong here. hospitality is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are manageable for the area.

**Quality of Life:**
I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The outdoor scene is average - we have national forests within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.

**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. Sunset schools are hit or miss. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.

**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Traffic during rush hour is rough. Summers can be brutally hot. And traffic can be frustrating.

**Bottom line:**
For retirees, I'd say this is a 9/10. Feel free to reach out with questions.. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.
