Remote worker thinking about Sahuarita

So, Military spouse here. It's a a smaller city city with about 35,012 people. Median household income is $100,719, which feels pretty solid for the area. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Thoughts? Property taxes are high but you get good services. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The food scene here is surprisingly good. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.

I've been in Cedar Grove for 13 years. Moved from Pittsburgh for weather. Here's my honest, detailed take:

**Housing:**
The market right now is tough. We bought in 2018 at k and it's now worth up significantly than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 4-bed in a safe area. Older homes are where the value is.

**Employment:**
hospitality is strong here. education is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are manageable for the area.

**Quality of Life:**
the quality of life is solid. The outdoor scene is surprisingly good - we have mountains within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.

**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. Cedar Grove schools are tough. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.

**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Not very walkable outside downtown. Road conditions need improvement. And traffic can be frustrating.

**Bottom line:**
For retirees, I'd say this is a 5/10. Give it a chance - it might surprise you.. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.

We moved here with our family and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Schools in Pine Hills area are tough. Kids love it here.

My experience has been mostly positive. it's not perfect but it works for me. The only thing I'd watch out for is cost of living. Other than that, It's not for everyone but it works for us..

I've been living here for 4 years and I'd say it exceeded my expectations. The public transit is hit or miss compared to other places I've lived. Overall Would recommend to anyone considering it..

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are average, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value cultural scene, you'll love it. The healthcare is genuinely pretty good and I've found I love the pace of life here. My neighborhood (West) is affordable and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Atlanta, be prepared for the culture shock. walkability is completely different here. And Limited high-paying job options.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

If you value nightlife, you'll love it. The healthcare is genuinely average and I've found it's improved dramatically in recent years. My neighborhood (Eastside) is developing and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Austin, be prepared for the culture shock. dating scene is completely different here. And Road conditions need improvement.
