Rent in Salamanca getting crazy

Been meaning to ask this. You can expect to pay around $702 for rent here. Median household income is $39,871, which feels on the lower side for the area. Average temperature is around 46--F, so expect cold winters. The median home value here is around $78,000, which is actually reasonable. The suburbs are where most families end up. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Worth the trade-offs? There's a growing tech scene which is exciting.

I've lived in Maple Ridge for about 13 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. When I first moved here from LA, I was surprised by cost of living. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Good schools in most areas
- The cost of living scene is solid

The downsides:
- Dating scene is rough
- Homeless population growing downtown

Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for singles. Hope this helps!.
