Is Salem Lakes getting better or worse?

First post here. I'm originally from Denver and Rent is about $1,132/month for a decent place. You can expect to pay around $1,132 for rent here. Homes are going for about $281,500 on average. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The suburbs are where most families end up. Property taxes are high but you get good services. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The suburbs are where most families end up. The weather takes some getting used to. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The food scene here is surprisingly good.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. it's exactly what I was looking for. Internet is improving in most areas.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a chef who relocated here from Dallas about 6 years ago. The main reasons were family and family.

Pros I've experienced:
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- Good healthcare facilities
- Lots of new development happening

Cons that are real:
- Nightlife is limited
- Road conditions need improvement

Financially, we've found it average compared to where we came from. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. Groceries are developing, gas is better than expected.

Socially, it's been a really good experience overall. Definitely worth checking out..
