Working in Salem Lakes -salaries realistic?
Random thought, I grew up here but left for a while. The unemployment rate is 3.2%, which is pretty low. You can expect to pay around $1,132 for rent here. It's a a small town city with about 14,521 people. With a population of 14,521, Salem Lakes is a small town. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. What neighborhoods would you suggest? I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The suburbs are where most families end up. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years.
