Best apartments in Salem under ?

Hey, My family moved here when I was a kid. You can expect to pay around $1,800 for rent here. With a population of 44,241, Salem is a smaller city. It's a a smaller city city with about 44,241 people. Median household income is $85,137, which feels pretty solid for the area. The unemployment rate is 3.7%, which is pretty low. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting.

Pros:
- Good job market
- Nice parks and trails
- Good schools
- Easy commute
- Walkable downtown

Cons:
- Rising rent prices
- Poor road conditions
- Homelessness issues downtown
Has anyone dealt with this? Thanks in advance! The city has invested a lot in new development. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The city has invested a lot in new development. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 12 years ago from Tampa and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in Midtown. It's underrated for what you get.

Jobs: The market is reasonable right now, especially in government. If you're in construction you might struggle.

People: Generally pretty good. It took about 11 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: pretty good. Tons of options if you like seafood.

Hope this helps!.
