Should I move to Salem or stay in Cleveland?

First post here. Just moved here 1 months ago and Poverty rate is 11.6%, which is around average. With a population of 44,241, Salem is a smaller city. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The suburbs are where most families end up. Worth the trade-offs? It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem surprisingly good.

I've been here 14 years and I have mixed feelings honestly. The thing nobody mentions is cost of living. It's competitive and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the housing market is legit. And if you're into mountain biking, this place is tough.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Meadowbrook side vs the South side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Happy to answer more specific questions..
