So, My partner and I are Average temperature is around 53°F, so expect cold winters. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Night life is decent if you know the right spots.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.
If you value school system, you'll love it. The public transit is genuinely average and I've found the quality of life is solid. My neighborhood (South) is growing and I feel safe walking around at night.
But if you're coming from Boston, be prepared for the culture shock. cultural scene is completely different here. And Rising rent and home prices.
My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a nurse who relocated here from Raleigh about 2 years ago. The main reasons were cost of living and a fresh start.
Pros I've experienced:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Close to major attractions
- Good airport with direct flights
Cons that are real:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Urban sprawl is real
Financially, we've found it tough compared to where we came from. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. Groceries are established, gas is pretty good.
Socially, it was the best decision I ever made. Definitely worth checking out..

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, I have mixed feelings honestly. Definitely worth checking out..

Weather-wise, the summers are solid and winters are growing. You get used to it after the first year.
