Should I move to Salem or stay in Baltimore?

So, I'm a remote worker and It's a a mid-size city city with about 177K people. You can expect to pay around $1,323 for rent here. Crime rate is something to consider — Salem sits at 381.0 per 100K. Homes are going for about $382,400 on average. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Has anyone dealt with this? The city has invested a lot in new development. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Property taxes are high but you get good services. It's changing fast — some good, some not so much. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The weather takes some getting used to. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting.
