Things Salina needs to improve

Random thought, I'm originally from Tampa and It's a a smaller city city with about 46,432 people. Homes are going for about $164,500 on average. Crime rate is something to consider -Salina sits at 457.4 per 100K. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Worth the trade-offs? I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse.
