Internet providers in Salinas?

So, I'm originally from Boston and Household incomes average around $89,150 in Salinas. Crime rate is something to consider — Salinas sits at 498.3 per 100K. Median household income is $89,150, which feels pretty solid for the area. It's a a mid-size city city with about 162K people. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The weather takes some getting used to. Does this match your experience? Night life is decent if you know the right spots. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The food scene here is excellent. Tons of great Indian places. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad.

OK I'm going to write a proper review because I've seen too many incomplete answers.

Background: I'm a HR manager, 33, moved here 9 years ago from Nashville. I've lived in Oak Park and Sunset, and traveled to most parts of the metro.

**What I love:**
1. Great outdoor activities nearby
2. Close to major attractions
3. Good airport with direct flights
4. The people are generally tough - I found my community within the first year

**What I don't love:**
1. Limited public transit options
2. Summers can be brutally hot
3. The job market situation is wild and doesn't seem to be improving

**Neighborhoods I'd recommend:**
- Oak Park: Great for remote workers. improving vibes, walkable.
- Sunset: More affordable, family-friendly.

**Neighborhoods I'd avoid:**
- Without naming names, stay away from areas east of downtown until you know the city better.

**Cost comparison:**
Coming from Nashville, everything felt pretty good. Rent is about /mo. Groceries are established. Gas is established. You can live comfortably on $60K-$100K here.

**Final verdict:**
Hope this helps!. It's not perfect - nowhere is - but for the price point and quality of life, it's hard to beat. DM me if you have specific questions.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value public transit, you'll love it. The public transit is genuinely surprisingly good and I've found it exceeded my expectations. My neighborhood (Westside) is competitive and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Salt Lake City, be prepared for the culture shock. cultural scene is completely different here. And Property taxes are high.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

My experience has been mostly positive. the quality of life is solid. The only thing I'd watch out for is safety. Other than that, Would recommend to anyone considering it..

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value dating scene, you'll love it. The safety is genuinely tough and I've found I'm still on the fence after all this time. My neighborhood (Old Town) is pricey and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Charlotte, be prepared for the culture shock. cost of living is completely different here. And Rising rent and home prices.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

Hot take but the quality of life is solid. I know a lot of people disagree but after 5 years here, that's my honest assessment.
