Worst things about Saline nobody talks about
First post here. I'm a nurse at the local hospital and The unemployment rate is 2.8%, which is pretty low. With a population of 8,976, Saline is a small town. Poverty rate is 4.6%, which is pretty low. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.
Pros:
- Affordable cost of living
- Good job market
- Plenty of shopping options
- Good airport connections
Cons:
- Rising rent prices
- Limited dining options
- High property taxes
- Homelessness issues downtown
- Not enough green space
