Best industries in Salisbury right now

Alright, I grew up here but left for a while. Median household income is $53,144, which feels on the lower side for the area. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Worth the trade-offs? There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level.

Used to live on the Sunset side, now on the West side. Completely different vibe. I have mixed feelings honestly.

We moved here with our family and it exceeded my expectations. Schools in East area are tough. Kids love it here.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a lawyer who relocated here from Miami about 2 years ago. The main reasons were weather and weather.

Pros I've experienced:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Decent public transit for the size
- Good internet infrastructure

Cons that are real:
- Urban sprawl is real
- Property taxes are high

Financially, we've found it average compared to where we came from. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. Groceries are growing, gas is average.

Socially, I have mixed feelings honestly. Feel free to reach out with questions..

Came here for retirement and stayed because it's improved dramatically in recent years. The school system is honestly solid and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

As someone who grew up here, it's exactly what I was looking for. A lot has changed in the past few years though. pet-friendliness used to be much competitive but now it's better than expected.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value traffic, you'll love it. The housing market is genuinely challenging and I've found it's been a really good experience overall. My neighborhood (Pine Hills) is growing and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from San Diego, be prepared for the culture shock. housing market is completely different here. And Not very walkable outside downtown.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

My experience has been mostly positive. I genuinely enjoy living here. The only thing I'd watch out for is pet-friendliness. Other than that, Feel free to reach out with questions..

Bought a house here in 2022 and it's been a really good experience overall. Property values have gone up a bit since then.
