Alright, The median home value here is around $215,200, which is actually reasonable. Crime rate is something to consider -Salisbury sits at 735.0 per 100K. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The suburbs are where most families end up. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem better than expected.

I've been here 3 years and it's improved dramatically in recent years. The thing nobody mentions is weather. It's manageable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the public transit is legit. And if you're into biking, this place is tough.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Downtown side vs the Springfield side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
